I have written poetry since I was little girl. I find that it helps me make sense of life and death, and all the beautiful and painful things in between. Poetry is a way to speak when you don't quite know what to say. It is a way to express complicated feelings in the smallest of spaces - doing justice to the weight of our emotions whilst resisting the need to tell all. To connect with those around us while keeping those inner most parts of us safe. I write poetry drawing from my own experiences and those close to me. When I'm not writing, I enjoy travelling, and getting lost in books, music and nature. See the photo gallery below for some of my most favourite places, which have inspired my writing over the years.
Signs of Life
Poems for Remembering
A debut book of poetry to feed the soul
My first book of poetry, Signs of Life, explores the feelings and experiences that make us alive: trauma, grief, loss, love, learning and hope. It offers moments to reflect on both the pain and joy that fill our lives, and what we can learn from them.
